About Clair

Clair Bennett has one of the most diverse career histories in UK beauty therapy today, and is widely recognised as one of the most inspiring professional speakers and mentors in the industry.

After leaving college Clair joined a busy health spa, and after serving time offering the widest range of treatments rose to manage the business, gaining an even deeper understanding of not merely therapy but the logistics of the business behind it. Leaving to spend time working as a senior therapist on cruise ships – a difficult environment and the challenge of a multi-racial client base –  Clair moved to the United States where she continued to develop her wide understanding of traditional and holistic therapies. Upon her return to the UK she launched her first salon, a business she successfully sold a few years later. Capitalising on her growing training skills and reputation for sound all-round knowledge, Clair then took a role as the Head of a Further Education College.

Moving a few years later to a major international skincare company, Clair initially joined their Training division but was quickly promoted to their Sales division, before rising to the role of International Business Development Manager – a position which regularly took her to every country in Europe, North America, Canada and Asia. She also took on further training in the Philippines, Turkey and Malta. Upon her return to the UK, she once again opened her own salon (Cute Little Beauty Salon), plus her own training company (Beauty Education Company) and a salon supplies business (BEC Salon Supplies), all of which she still manages.

She is a Councillor for BABTAC (the British Association of Beauty Therapy And Cosmetology), the leading UK trade association for professional therapists, which is run by 12 members elected from the 10,000 membership.

Clair regularly appears on TV and radio and is currently assisting an international TV production company to create a new series for terrestrial and satellite TV.

She lectures widely for BABTAC, writes for the Association’s prestigious magazine Vitality and is considered one of the Association’s most important ambassadors.
